Hi, I’m Andy. I’m a Chartered Building Surveyor and Domestic Energy Assessor based in Leeds.

I started AD Surveying in 2021 to connect and provide people with expert advice when buying a new home or investment property. I have always been passionate about property and love surveying, being able to give advice and help people in their property journey. Carrying out pre-purchase surveys on residential properties is such an important way of reducing risk when buying a property to avoid running in to unforeseen repair costs and issues.

Having a young family, I took the decision to start my own business to be able to give me flexibility of providing these services, doing the job I love, around a busy family life.

After graduating in Building Surveying from Sheffield Hallam University in late 2014, I joined a global construction consultancy across the residential and commercial sector carrying out multi-million pound refurbishment projects, condition surveys, party wall advice and defect diagnosis inspections. I achieved my Chartered status with RICS in 2018 and in early 2020 I joined a residential surveying company, where I had the opportunity to survey and inspect a wide variety of properties all across Yorkshire, from non-traditional housing in Leeds, to bespoke multi-million pound properties set in rural locations.
